Mangalore: Annual 'Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra' on Feb 17

Mangalore Feb 14:* Mangalore Branch of ISKCON has organized their 4th annual ¡(r)Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra¡¯ festival on Saturday the February 17th at PVS Circle, Mangalore.

Addressing newspersons on Wednesday Shree Karunya Sagara Dasa said that the ¡(r)Rathayatra¡¯ is aimed at spreading peace, prosperity and tranquility in the society and the citizens have an opportunity to participate and seek blessings of Lord Krishna Balarama, he said.

District In-charge Minister B Nagaraj Shetty will be the chief guest and DC M Maheshwar Rao, Mayor Vijaya Arun will be the guests of honour in the inaugural function. Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, President, ISKCON Temple, Bangalore will preside over the function. This Rathayatra festival will give people a live experience full of peace and joyful life.

After the special Pooja and distribution of Prasadam, the Rathayatra will be flagged off at 4.30 pm near the PVS junction, the ¡(r)Ratha¡¯ will pass through the Navabharath Circle, Hampanakatta Circle, Townhall, Central Market, Carstreet and Alake, Mannagudda areas and will culminate at the ¡(r)Sanghanikethan¡¯ at 8.30 pm. The function will conclude with ¡(r)Bhajans¡¯ and ¡(r)Vishesh Pooja¡¯ and distribution of Prasadam. During the course of Rathayatra the devotees can offer flowers, garlands, pooja in all the places throughout the Rathayatra.

In connection with the above special religious programmes, Panchamrutha Abhisheka, discourses and poojas will be conducted at ¡(r)Sanghanikethan¡¯ on Sunday the 18th February between 7.30 and 10.00 am. Sri Madhu Pandit Dasa, President, ISKCON, Temple and foundation Bangalore will deliver a special religious talk(Pravachan) and discourse on this occasion and the devotees can have darshan.
