There are those who hate as much as they can
because their inner life is devoid of love
There are those who inflict much suffering upon others
because their inner life is racked with pain
There are those who seize as much wealth as they can
because their inner life is a world of poverty
There are those who complain as much as they can
because their inner life is filled with confusion
There are those who rush to crowded places
because their inner life is lonely and dimly lit
There are those who cannot tolerate the differences of others
because their inner life is a barren landscape
There are those who must convince as many as they can
because their inner life is filled with self doubt
There are those who shout as loudly as they can
because they cannot hear God's whisper
There are those who do not see the open door
because their inner life is locked away
There are those who are afraid of failure
because their inner life is filled with uncertainty
Discover the eternal self
Do not be afraid to stand in the face of adversity
Reject the impulse to seize anger and darkness as your ally
Be illumed by the light of the inner life
