Srila Prabhupada’s Vyasa Puja, September 2, 2010
The Bhaktivedanta Archives would like to announce that it is now functioning as a “charity” model, focusing on conservation, preservation, and digitalization of all the collections housed at the Bhaktivedanta Archives. Our intention is to complete the digitization, provenance tagging, which in turn will assist in spreading Srila Prabhupada’s teachings (via audio, photos, books, and VedaBase) around the world, and helping to ensuring their perpetuation.
What does this mean to you? It means precious items - such as the upcoming VedaBase upgrade made easily available to all existing customers for no charge!
What does ‘conservation and preservation of all collections’ mean?
The Bhaktivedana Archives primary purpose is to collect, preserve, protect and allow dissemination of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings, images and life’s work for his students, scholars, and other interested persons who seek cultural, and spiritual development.
Do you have a special photo of Srila Prabhupada, or a letter? The Bhaktivedanta Archives has a program to help you with your Srila Prabhupada collection. If you have an original document and or audio recordings we will conserve/preserve them for you and return them back to you so long as we can make a copy of the item for the archival collection. We offer this program free of charge for small items or quantity, but always welcome donations for this important service.
What’s the advantage to you? Your item will be properly digitized, preserved, and distributed (if you give permissions) in our greater ISKCON community, while you still retain the copyrights!
Our staff can also assist in researching a particular picture or lecture recording for your individual project. This service is available for a fee. Please contact Parama Rupa (email@example.com) for more details.
Please note that all requests to purchase BBT art or photos should go directly to Krishna.com. All requests for usage of photos and audio for a project should be directed to BBTI Copyrights (firstname.lastname@example.org).
