In Response to 'No Tolerance for Child Abuse in ISKCON'

I really liked your letter. You are absolutely right! I have worked in psychiatric hospitals and prisons. I know in prisons, that even inmates have standards-They have zero tolerance for child abusers period. But here in the "anything goes" ISKCON movement it is OK, it was just a "mistake".
When are we ever going to raise our standards? My mother is 84 years old and has Alzheimer's disease. Mom doesn't remember her phone number or address. She sometimes doesn't even remember who I am. However, even now in her final years, she is still haunted and can explain in vivid detail all the abuse she suffered in her childhood.
I think it's time to start a new movement. Let's call it the "No tolerance
for child abuse in ISKCON movement".
