Passing of Sri Padmavati Dasi, 105
Posted October 30, 2010
I just returned today from my trip to Vrindaban Dham. I always visit Imlitala temple, which was established by Srimad Bhakti Saranga Goswami (my Param-guru Maharaj) and have made it a point to visit Sri Padmavati devi dasi, who has been living there for many years.
A few years back she had a stroke and was unable to care for herself. The disciples of Srimad Bhakti Pramode Puri Maharaj have been giving her round-the-clock care. I just saw Mataji last week, and she had been able to communicate with me requesting that she wanted to eat rasgullas. I thought it was funny when she'd said to me in Bengali that she was dying and that she wanted to eat rasgullas.
Today, on Monday, October 25, she left her body peacefully in her room at Imlitala. She had given service to Srila Prabhupad when His Divine Grace stayed at the Radha Damodar temple. There were a lot of devotees who had visited her when they visited Imlitala temple.
Sri Padmavati prabhu was 105 years old. I thought it would be appropriate to publish the news in Chakra.
