The devotees at the Chicago Hare Krishna Temple of the Heart would like to invite you all to attend our annual Ratha Yatra. It is held in conjunction with the city of Chicago's annual Bud Billiken parade (a children's back to school parade).

This event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 8th. Last year the parade was attended by 1.5 million people, and viewed by 25 million on national TV. It is the largest parade of its kind in the nation, over 75,000 participants, including many politicians, and celebrities.

We will have a cart in the parade, with as big a kirtan party as we can put together. So please come prepared to chant, dance, and represent Srila Prabhupada and Lord Jagannatha. There will also be a festival site picnic in the park at the end of the parade, with a stage, prasadam distribution, etc. We guarantee a good time for you and your family. There are thousands of people at the park picnicking, and they enjoy the presence of the devotees.

There are local devotees who are volunteering there homes for accommodation, as well as lots of space at the Kishore Kishori temple. We are also starting to organize group transportation to Chicago from other cities.
