Murari Sevaka's Wiring Upgrade Emergency
Posted August 1, 2010
Help is needed now so that the electrical meter is not pulled at Murari. As you may be aware, we are completing the construction on the temple building. In the service of Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Nitai Gaurachandra, we are working toward creating a Krsna conscious country oasis with a new pujari room, updated kitchen, guest rooms, meeting halls and restroom facilities, etc. to benefit our congregation and guests.
Your help is urgently needed. At the present we have an emergency need to bring the electrical service of the building up to 2008 standards. For the immediate situation, we currently have pledges of $11,000 and have an immediate need for another $10,000 to meet a state-designated deadline of Aug. 2. Immediate help is required.
Without electricity, there will be no lights and no well pump for water. Serving the deities properly will be very difficult if not impossible. Krsna does not let the light go out on us; please don't let the lights go out at Murari.
If you can make a one-time or a monthly donation of any amount to fulfill Srila Prabhupada’s mission for Murari, please contact Gayatri Das, 615.595.1020 or Bhakta John, 615.873.4283.
Editor's Note: Possibly there are devotees who are also licenced electrical contractors. Maybe such a qualified electrician could contact the devotees at Murari Sevaka and offer his or her services at a reduced rate to help bring the electrical service up to National Electrical Code standards.
