Care for Cows, Sept 2010
Posted September 12, 2010
The September 2010 issue of our Care for Cows Newsletter has been posted. Please review it at your earliest convenience.
In this edition of 18 pages (1.8 MB) we present reports on:
1. Slaughterhouse Mrdangas. This is an issue that has been on my mind for some time I know there are those who would rather it remained unaddressed and may even take offense by it. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to speak out and let the chips fall where they may.
2. Another cow hit by a car but is on her way to a full recovery.
3. Vanamali's fourth calf.
There is not much good news this month. In fact this monsoon season has brought many of us to our knees. The continued excessive rains, the flooding of Sri Yamuna and the ongoing reconstruction of the roads around Vrindavan makes life quite difficult. Our facility is completely muddy... at times it appears to me uninhabitable... and on more than one occasion I have considered opening the gates and letting the cows find some dry ground. Today we tried to release them so they can dry out their hooves but they don't want to leave. We are in desperate need of more space and I must admit I do not have what it takes to deal with real estate matters in Vrindavan today. Please send some prayers.
Thanks for your participation and support. I hope this finds you experiencing the happiness and inner satisfaction that accompanies cow protection. Jaya Sri Gopal!

May cows stay in front of me; may cows stay behind me; may cows stay on both sides of me. May I always reside in the midst of cows.
