Tucson Temple Needs Preaching Devotees
Posted November 21, 2009
Tucson devotees with HH Jayapataka Swami We are expanding at the Tucson Temple. In order to meet the growing need we have just completed several new living facilities. One is a small cottage with bath, suitable for a woman devotee. Sincere and committed followers of Srila Prabhupada with enthusiasm for preaching and good sadhana are welcome to inquire. Some services available are hari nam, club on university campus, restaurant and boutique cashier, organizing festivals, gardening, sewing and cleaning. Computer knowledge and the ability to facilitate classes and lead kirtan are pluses.
Men devotees are also invited and possibly couples with no kids or one small child. Only devotees currently in the United States can be accommodated.
Vedic Cultural Club on University of Arizona campus Arizona is a great place to live with sunny, India-like weather. Our temple is situated on 1.5 acres with waterfalls, a peacock aviary, a koi pond and gardens. We have a nice devotee community and lots of guests coming daily. Our main focus is sharing Krishna consciousness through our Govinda's Restaurant (entering its 18th year), festivals and our regular Sunday feast. Our congregation is mainly western. We have regular hari nam but want to increase book distribution. Also, there are real prospects to build a large Vedic temple on a 3-acre parcel of land available next to our present location. We need a qualified couple who can speak Hindi and/or other Indic languages and who is already living in the US to cultivate the local Indian community for that purpose. Let's talk.
