Healthy Milk Cows for Sale

After taking care of my cows almost singlehandedly for the past 22 years (in declining health after numerous surgeries, and with two more surgeries to follow), I want to relocate my standard-size cows and stick with a smaller-size animal, the mini-Jersey, which will be easier for me to handle and maintain.

I will keep my three mini-Jerseys; my Brown Swiss, Usha (22 years); my Holstein, Vrnda (19 years); and my milking shorthorn, Rohini (5 years). My milking shorthorn, Chandra (9 years), died from eye cancer this summer.

I prefer to place cows with people who have at least some experience with cows, or have access locally to someone who can guide them. Cows are easy to care for if you know what to do and how and what to feed them. Cows are also costly, however, and whoever takes a cow needs to realize it is like having another child; it requires a big financial commitment, along with physical and emotional care.

If you can't keep a cow but would graciously like to help me by making donations for cow care, I would be grateful. I spend $500-$800 per month just on hay, pasture, etc. for my 8 cows.

I used sexed semen to get only heifer calves, and I think this Kali- yuga invention could be utilized for people who don't have alot of land and are worried what would happen to a bull calf. You can consider this option if you are interested in a cow but worried about having no people to work bulls in your area.

I would like to immediately place beautiful Kamadhenu, a registered standard Jersey. She is 3 years old, calved in July 2008 and still gives about 2.5 to 3 gallons (10 to 12 litres) per day. I milk her once a day, which works well. Currently she has been supplying the Berkeley Temple with milk, but due to lack of continued support and the distance to get the milk to the temple, we can no longer do it. Since she is still young I would rather not "retire" her to pasture with the older cows.

I also have a Jersey/milking shorthorn heifer due to calve in about 4 months. She was bred to a mini-Jersey bull. Cintamani is a very pretty red-and-white cow. She is a little bit feisty but would be fine with an experienced person. She is the daughter of another cow, Rohini (a purebred milking shorthorm for whom I might like to find a home this summer), who had very nice handmilking teats and is very healthy.

I haven't had health problems or mastitis with my cows, and I have maintained good care practices with all my cows.

In addition, I am expecting some very nice mini-midsized Jersey calves from my mini-midsized Jerseys in the spring. I expect to have several of these for sale, and they ought to make excellent family cows due to their size. They are much easier for children to handle and give a more reasonable amount of milk than the standard-size Jerseys.

Please write for further details, pictures, etc. I also do astrology readings to support myself and the cows. I have books and CDs on my website if you are interested in vedic astrology.
