Learned Vaishnava Departs in Vrindavan
Posted March 27, 2008
In the early morning hours during this year's Vasant Panchami festival (February 11, 2008), my father Sriman Madhva-Gaudeshvar- acharya Bimal Chandra Goswami left his body in a hospital in Vrindavan, India.
During a condolence meeting on the grounds of Sri Sri Radha Raman Temple in Sri Dham Vrindaban, many devotees and well-wishers paid tributes with all dignity. Golokavasi-acharya Sri Bimal Chandra Goswamiji was surely called back to Goloka by Shri Radha Raman Lal to serve Krishna over there. He had a leading soldier of bhakti, preaching to academicians, political leaders and intelligentsia.
May he serve Sri Radha Raman Lal and other Deities who are constantly engaged in transcendentally enjoying the pastimes of Sri Sri Radha-Krishna.
Editor's Note: The Radha Raman Temple, first established by our param-
guru Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami, was never attacked by Aurangzeb's
soldiers during the Moghul conquest of India because they mistakenly
thought it to be only a large residence. Because of this, Lord Radha
Raman ji never had to leave Vrindavan for Jaipur, as did the other
Deities established by the Six Goswamis. The temple is also the site
of Srila Gopal Bhatta Goswami's samadhi. On behalf of all
devotees of Sri Krsna, Chakra extends our condolences to Sriman
Yogesh Goswami and to all the other friends and relatives of Sri
Bimal Chandra Maharaj.
