Dear Friends and Devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Today, just after 12:00 noon, Sahadeva Sakha Prabhu, a dear and humble disciple of Srila Prabhupada, left his body in the company of his beloved family, and a few close devotee friends. The air was filled with the transcendental sounds of the devotees chanting the Holy Names along with one his favorite kirtan leaders, Visnujana Swami, while Srila Prabhupada recited the "Jaya Om" prayers. At the time of his departure he wore around his neck a beautiful red garland of carnations from Srila Prabhupada's murti. He also had a Tulasi leaf on his tongue, while Vrindavan dust, a Tulasi leaf, water from Mother Ganga, and a special dried flower from Srila Prabhupada's own departure bed was placed on his head. His favorite pictures of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna rested on his heart.

Significantly, he remained breathing until moments after Srila Prabhupada's garland was placed around his neck, at which time he passed from this world very peacefully and with his mouth open. Everyone present felt that he chose that specific moment, and that it was a very auspicious departure.

A short memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 18th (Father's Day) at 4:30 p.m. at the San Diego Hare Krishna temple, located at 1030 Grand Avenue, Pacific Beach, CA 92109. Your attendance is greatly appreciated. Afterwards, the Sunday Feast will be sponsored in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, we humbly request that contributions be made to help cover the cost of his funeral, as there is very little Laxmi to do so. If not attending in person, you can get specific information in this regard by contacting myself, or Kanka mataji at the numbers below. We thank you all in advance. Hare Krsna.

"One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna"
