This year's festival will be held from Thursday, June 1st, through Sunday,
June 4th. Thursday and Friday activities are centered around seminars by
Jayapataka Swami and Locanatha Swami. Friday evening we will perform
abhiseka of the main deities of Atlanta ISKCON, Sri Sri Gaura Nitia in honor
of the 40th anniversary of the Incorporation of ISKCON on July 13, 1966.
These are the deities that Srila Prabhupada had memorable pastimes in
association with his disciples in 1975. He named the Atlanta temple "New
Panihati dham", played mridanga and sung "Parama Koruna", offered arati to
his Gurudeva, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada on his appearance day, and
choked up in ecstasy while giving one of the shortest and sweets welcome
address after see their Lordships. Srila Prabhupada's room in Atlanta is one
of the seven permanent shrines in remembrance of Srila Prabhupada's
pastimes. Other highlights: Rathayatra, weddings, and Chip Rice festival.
