On the auspicious Appearance Day of Lord Nrsimhadeva (Tuesday, 1 May 2007), whilst pujaris were dressing the real and beautiful Ugra-Nrsimha Deity in Mayapur, parents also dressed their children to engage them fully in the festive activities.
In the pictures we can see Narada Muni das (7 years) dressed as Nrsimhadeva, replete with chisel-like nails; Sita dasi (6 years) as elegant Laksmi devi and Ramananda Raya das (4 years) as saintly Prahlad.
They are all students of the Sri Mayapur International School. Under
the apt guidance and artistic inspiration of Ragatmika dasi and Shastra
das, they form part of a team who act out dramas for different
auspicious days. It helps the small children to be engaged, to get to
know the pastimes really well and to have a lasting memory of the
exciting day. A news reporter from India Times was also very
attracted by their innocence and took pictures for his newspaper.
