[1. Gloriously garlanded Lord Narasimha deva before the 2 p.m. oil abhiseka]

Today (May 4, 2004) is the very auspicious appearance day of Lord Narasimha deva. A very ecstatic kirtan this morning lasted longer than usual, while the temple was full of devotees and pilgrims who came to participate in the various programs.

There were many lectures delivered simultaneously in Bengali, English and Hindi. HH Jayapataka Swami delivered the first lecture in Bengali in the main temple, while Jananivas das and HH BVV Narasimha Swami gave lectures in English in the brahmacari kitchen hall. At the same time HH Bhaktivikas Swami gave a lecture in Hindi in the Lotus Building conference room. Later HH Subhag Swami delivered a lecture in Bengali in the main temple while Jayapataka Maharaja delivered the English lecture to the devotees in the brahmacari kitchen hall. All the lectures were about the transcendental pastimes of Lord Narasimha deva. Jananivas prabhu spoke about the pastimes of Lord Narasimha Deity in Mayapur.

[2. All the Deities were gloriously arrayed for the occasion . . .]

Many pilgrims and devotees are taking part in this festival by offering different sevas to the Lord as well as sponsoring the different paraphernalia, bhoga, oils, aratis etc. to Narasimha deva during this very auspicious occasion. The altars of the Deities are very beautiful today with special decorations including a lot of flowers and very colorful outfits.

The main Yajna in the courtyard of the temple was nicely prepared and performed by the devotees of the Bhaktivedanta Academy.
