Posted June 30, 2005
From the parks and waterfalls of Potomac, Maryland, to the streets of Washington, D.C., the Pandava Sena youth crew are taking over the U.S. capital.
Beat the heat with interesting workshops, nature hikes, canoeing on the Potomac River, swimming and the best museums and shopping that Washington, D.C. has to offer. Hang out with new and old friends, express your creativity, and connect with your spiritual side.
The P-Sena crew will bring you the best in special international guests, including interactive seminars and workshops led by H.H. Hridayananda Goswami, H.H. Romapada Swami, Anuttama das, Rukmini dasi and Gauravani das. The program features cosmic kirtans with Avatar Studios and mouthwatering feasts, including a vegetable barbecue that will rock your world! Other events include harinam in Georgetown, a Krishna conscious scavenger hunt, picnic on the Mall, sporting events, team-building games, bonfire kirtans, a morning walk on Srila Prabhupada's path, a tour of Avatar Studios, kirtans with As Kindred Spirits and much, much more.
The event, from July 21 to July 25, 2005, is open to any young people (ages 15 to 30) who are curious about spirituality. A fee of $195 per person covers prasadam, lodging and activity costs. This is the second Pandava Sena youth retreat, after a very successful one last year in New Vrindavan.
