Posted June 22, 2006
Taking place in the jewel of the Pacific Northwest, this year’s Ratha Yatra and Janamastami in Vancouver provide an exciting and enjoyable experience for the entire family.
Set against the breathtaking beaches of Stanley Park in Vancouver, Lord Jagannatha descends on the streets, bestowing his mercy to the people of Vancouver. Taking place on August 12th and 13th the Vancouver Rathya Yatra is the tenth stop on the Festival of India Tour. There will be live, boisterous kirtans, ecstatic dramas and of course sumptuous full course feast. The highlight of the Event though is the three chariots that are pulled through the streets carrying their lordships.
