Dear Maharaj and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada.

A course on Mediation & Basic Conflict Resolution as endorsed by the GBC will be held at the Bhaktivedanta Manor in September.

A 3-day Intensive - 26th, 27th & 28th September

Facilitator: His Grace Kalakantha Prabhu

Cost: 55 (Includes course fee and prasadam)

Graduates will be certified to mediate by ISKCON Resolve, an international GBC-endorsed Dispute Resolution initiative coordinated by Braja Bihari Prabhu. This initiative is under the direction of world renowned mediation expert Dr. Arnold Zack and Cristina Cassanova, MSW (Krsna-lila devi dasi), a highly experienced mediator in the New York City Public School system.

Students in this mediation course will learn to resolve conflicts by helping the disputants speak to each other and negotiate their own solution. The art of mediation is a blend of counselling, investigation, intuition and common sense. In this 24 hour course, students will gain basic skills to help them make the most of their natural peacemaking talents.

Course graduates will be ready to practice mediation in their personal and professional lives. Past graduates have found the course highly stimulating and helpful in their own relationships, families, and personal development.

The teacher for this practical, effective and enjoyable course is Kalakantha das, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and VTE-trained teacher. Dr. Zack and Krsna Lila Mataji have trained Kalakantha das in mediation techniques. He is also a graduate of the Florida (USA) State Mediation Training Course. As a government-certified mediator in Florida he regularly mediates legal cases as well as disputes within ISKCON. In addition to his work in America he has trained over 100 ISKCON mediators in Europe, India and the Far East.
