Baltimore to hold its second Chariot Festival

The Hare Krishna Temple of Baltimore will be celebrating the 2nd annual Festival of India and Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra on Saturday, May 22, 2004 in downtown Baltimore's Inner Harbor area. The Ratha Yatra parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the corner of Pratt and Eutaw Streets in front of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and will continue down Pratt Street to the Festival of India at McKeldon Square, located at the corner of Pratt and Light Streets, across from the Inner Harbor.
The Festival of India will go on throughout the afternoon and evening featuring lectures on Vedic philosophy, blissful kirtan and bhajans, cultural dances, and prasadam.
Baltimore's Lord Jagannatha is famous for His travels throughout the United States for Ratha-Yatra festivals in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, and more. Please come with your family and friends, to Lord Jagannatha's Baltimore hometown and make the Ratha-Yatra here a memorable occasion.
