The temple and devotees in Tucson are joyously spreading Lord Caitanya's
sankirtan movement all over Arizona, and the next step has been a goal in
mind for several years. The plan is to have a padayatra traverse the cities
of Arizona several times a year in a classic Conestoga wagon (seen in
picture). This is an authentic wagon - not a replica - and it will certainly
draw onlookers to hear the Holy Names. What we are searching for is a nicely
bred camel to pull the wagon as we chant and dance alongside. The atmosphere
in Tucson is similar to Rajastan, so a camel will do nicely and we have
recently acquired new property that would have room to house the spirit
soul. We are sending out a request to the devotees or those favorable to
graciously donate towards the purchase of the camel. The price would be in
the range of 3,000 - 6,000 US dollars. All donations are, of course, tax
deductible. If you would like to donate, or to know more, please contact us
