Here in Jagannatha Puri tiny cashew and mango buds are beginning to blossom, their fragrance filling the atmosphere, migrating birds have returned after a brief winter, and offshore breezes carry the sound of waves rhythmically washing onto the beach.

This atmosphere inspires the Lord to perform various lilas: Dola-yatra (swing festival), Holi (throwing colors), and of course the full moon day is Gaura Purnima. Srila Rupa Gosvami's Vidagdha-madhava 1.10 describes: "Springtime had arrived, and the full moon of that season inspired the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is complete in everything, with new attraction to meet the beautiful Srimati Radharani at night to increase the beauty of Their pastimes."

In celebration of the Spring Festival of Holi we're offering Kavi Karnapura's delightful description of this lila from Chapter 14 of Ananda Vrndavana Champu free, from Amalaki Vrata Ekadasi until Gaura Purnima (Feb. 27-March 3) only.

If you want to do some very simple preaching, consider sending our email link to friends, or getting the download, burning some CDs, and giving gifts. This particular story is not filled with a lot of philosophy or heavy topics. It's just a wonderful narrative of Krsna and His associates having fun -- a great lila to listen to on Purnima Day.
