Gita Jayanti

Gita Jayanti (the day Lord Krishna spoke Bhagavad Gita) will be celebrated at the New York Hare Krishna Temple in Brooklyn on Sunday December 15 2002.

Please come with your family and friends to take part in this auspicious festival.

After the 6:00pm arati, there will be a fire sacrifice (Gita Yajna) along with recitations of verses from the Bhagavad Gita by the Sunday School Children. If you would like to take part in the fire sacrifice, please contact the temple ASAP as there are only a limited number of seats for the ceremony.

In addition, there will be ample opportunity for all devotees to perform Shastra-Dana (donation of scriptures in charity) throughout the evening by purchasing Bhagavad Gitas at wholesale prices to distribute to your family, friends, co-workers, etc.

Please take this opportunity to assist Srila Prabhupada by distributing his Bhagavad-Gita As It Is to as many people as possible. This is the perfect gift for the holiday season, as it can help everyone come to the path of bhakti-yoga: devotional service to Lord Krishna.

For further information, please contact the NY temple.

Your servants,

Sri Sri Radha Govinda Mandir
