Kitchen Religion, Food Prep Wanted in Arizona
Posted November 3, 2006
Govinda's Natural Foods Buffet is entering its 15th year serving first class prasad to the fortunate souls of Tucson, Arizona. A new juice bar has been added and we are desiring to expand that facility to include sandwiches and raw foods. We are looking for a single devotee who is enthusiastic and experienced in some food prep and has a likable personality to interact with the guests and patrons. Must have good sadhana and desire to share KC with others. This service is 4 days a week with free time and other preaching activities the rest of the week. A private room with shared bath and devotee maintenance will be provided.
The temple, established in 1988 is situated on 1.2 acres of beautifully landscaped property with parrots, peacocks, koi pond and waterfalls with India like weather. We have a full morning program, club on UA campus, seminars, hari nam, interfaith, family atmosphere with devotee outings and an ecstatic Sunday Feast with an average of 100 westerners attending.

On September 25th we hosted our 6th annual 'Feed the World Day'. About 350 people attended the 4 hour event complete with bhajan stage and book tableand various booths from the community representing the city food bank, food not bombs, various health treatments and assorted mystical demonstrations. Two television stations (local affiliate of NBC & CBS) came and covered the event for the evening news.
