Development Education Administrator - Hindu Aid
A capable administrator with at least two years of experience in general office duties, correspondence, databases, phone calls, mail-outs, events, meetings and conferences. The role will involve support for an education programme rolled out to British Hindus by arranging training courses, information counters at Hindu festivals and advisory meetings with Hindu organisations. Excellent command over written and spoken English is desirable. An understanding or sympathy of Hindu culture and traditions will be helpful as the role will require dealing with a large number of volunteers. Salary - circa £18,000, but will depend on experience and qualifications. The position is based in London, but may involve some travelling in UK.
Community Project Manager - Hindu Forum of Britain
Experienced project manager who can deliver community projects for the Hindu Forum of Britain. The candidate needs to be self-motivated and able to manage volunteer resources to deliver project outcomes to time and quality. Projects include a Parliamentary internship programme, a Religious Education Toolkit for teaching Hinduism in schools, chapliancy services for universities and hospitals, and a security training programme. The role will also involve arranging high-profile events, attending meetings with Government departments and media. The candidate needs to be highly computer literate, have an excellent command of English, and a working knowledge of Hinduism. Salary - negotiable and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. The role will be based in London and will involve travelling in the UK.
