The Baltimore ISKCON Temple (New Kulinagrama dham) is one of the original temples opened during the time Srila Prabhupada was physically present with us. He personally came to see the deities of Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundara after seeing a photo of These beautiful Lords, while visiting the nearby Potomac temple stating, "These are the most beautiful Gaura-Nitai Deities in all the three worlds." Many years later, New York temple's Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra came to Baltimore to reside on the altar with Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundara.
The Baltimore temple has a history of dynamic preaching and sankirtan, being centrally located on the east coast of North America between Washington D.C. and New York. This yatra once financially supported the Gita-nagari farm and other ISKCON projects. Many well-known Vaisnavas either joined ISKCON in Baltimore or came from the Baltimore area.
Our temple is conveniently located less than ten minutes from the world famous Baltimore Inner Harbor, one of the top 10 tourist attractions in the U.S., visited by thousands of international tourists each year. This is a prime location for any veteran or aspiring book distributors or Hari-nama Sankirtana devotees. Several college and university campuses are within a short distance of the temple, offering unlimited opportunities for Bhakti-yoga clubs, book distribution and prasadam distribution.
With a wonderful transcendental history, along with the current preaching potential, and a vision for great things to come; the new Baltimore temple management is seeking full-time devotees with diverse talents and backgrounds who posses a pioneering spirit to assist us in increasing the service to the Supreme Lord in Baltimore.
