Sandipani Muni School
Posted November 27, 2004
On behalf of Food for Life Vrindavan, I would like to thank all the Chakra readers that responded so generously to our request for materials for our Sandipani Muni School. The school is presently serving 550 children up to the age of 14.
The reality for these children is that 100 per cent of them are from families that live below the poverty line; 88 percent of parents cannot afford to buy clothes, milk or vegetables for the family. 80 percent have had at least one brother or sister die at an early age; 75 percent have more than 5 brothers and sisters; and 75 percent live in huts of mud and plastic.
The children of Sandipani Muni School, and we at Food for Life, are greatly encouraged by your giving and we are sure that your kindness will be reciprocated many times over by Sri Radhe Shyamsunder, Sri Sri Krishna Balaram, Sri Sri Gaur Nitai and Srila Prabhupada.
Once again, thank you.
