ISKCON Tasmania Seeks Devotees

Srila Prabhupada always hated temple closure, but in 1984, Hobart's temple was closed, leaving the nearest temple in Melbourne 450 miles away across 150 miles of ocean. Hobart is a temperate city of 200, 000, with a populace that is warm and relatively open to positive, engaged preaching. It is my hope to start an ISKCON preaching centre that is a low cost prasadam café, offering a Sunday feast venue and a place for evening bhakti yoga classes. It is an ideal place for families, with low cost housing and a clean environment.
