Fundraising for the $61 million Sedona Center of Vedic Culture & Jagannatha Temple to begin. The USA is moving ahead to try and catch up with our spiritual brothers in India, with what could be billed as the largest Vedic Cultural project outside the ancient land of Bharata!

To be located in the "sacred" american Indian land of Sedona, Arizona, and very near to one of the "seven wonders of the world", the Grand Canyon, the Sedona Center of Vedic Culture will attempt to present to a very special audience of spiritual seekers, India's timeless vedic wisdom for thought, and as the panacea for the world's instabilities and conflicts.

The project plans to host six hi-tech interactive audio-visual museums, on themes such as "The World Peace Diet", "The Theatre of Karma & Reincarnation", and "The Descent of the Golden Avatar of Love", prompting meditation on a changed and enlightened world and our place and purpose in it. There will be an exquisitely carved Jagannath temple in the traditional Indian architectural style, and the most prestigious offices and meeting arenas for the work of the Bhaktivedanta Institute (BI). This site for the BI will provide space for quality dialogue for the synthesis of science and religion (offered posthumously to Sripad Bhakti Swarup Damodar Swami, who helped to inspire this project) in the unique setting and vortex of the Sedona Red Rocks National Forest. Also included in the plans is a muti-million dollar academy complex offering an educational array of all the vedic arts and sciences, and the largest state-of-the-art performing arts center in Sedona, with gourmet vegetarian dining. The project plans will include one of the world's largest outreach capitals for interfaith, and a Bhaktivedanta Library and Institute for Peace (many US Presidents have one, why not our founder-acarya?). Deluxe guest rooms and retreat quarters for the spiritual tourists will be there, and two story high condos for the project devotee families.

Four and a half million visitors from all over the world visit Sedona each year, with a University poll concluding that 64% of those visitors say they are going there in hopes of having a spiritual experience. In another poll, the USA WEEKEND Magazine designated Sedona as the No.1 most beautiful place in America. What better place to showcase, in a grand way, the Sedona Center of Vedic Culture, transmitting the compassionate and spiritually enlightening message of India, born of her ancient Vedic civilization.

An ideal 23 acre land parcel for the project has been located for a cost of $6 million (land is at a premium cost in Sedona). An experienced project development team has been asssembled, architectural plans are in the making,

and now we are searching and humbly beseeching the world body of Vaishnavas, and Vaishnava well-wishers, to come forward with their blessings, good will, and their physical and financial assistance, to help manifest this "crown jewel" for the spiritual upliftment of the world.

Srila Prabhupada, our spiritual master, wanted America and her people to lead the world in spiritual consciousness, Krishna consciousness. Now who will rise to the call of this great need, opportunity, and exciting service?

Srila Prabhupada used to say; "shoot for the rhino"! "My only fault is that I can't think small". Here is but another opportunity to try and do something great for that divine personality who did so much for us. The Sedona Center of Vedic Culture will be a project built for the glorification of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, so now is the time for all the disciples and followers to come forward to contribute one way or another.

We are also looking for some seasoned devotees who would like very much the adventure of collecting the needed funds for this project. We will gladly reciprocate with them and their sincere needs.
