Srila Prabhupada's Bhajan Kutir
Posted August 1, 2006
The first day our Sankirtan was a grand success. Many locals joined in the kirtan party, such as Bhuti Krishna Goswami from Radharaman, Anupam Goswami from Sringara Vat, and Dr. Surendra Kumar Sharma. Dr. Sharma was previously in charge of the RSS in the entire district, and in spite of being 79 years old, he joined our Sankirtan Party. He said that even if one is born in a foreign country, he must be accepted as a Vaisnava. We are all one family, Acyuta Gotra. He has instructed the entire brahmin community of Vrindavan to support us.
Everyone was very ecstatic to see our dancing Sankirtan Party and the local newspapers took pictures of these important personalities chanting with us. The police had asked us not to go in front of Radha Damodar Mandir as they are all engaged in removing all illegal shops. In fact we are happy to report that all these eyesores have been removed from in front of Krishna Balaram Mandir. So we chanted through Loi Bazaar and then Anupam Goswami invited the kirtan party to Sringar Vat where we all took darshan and he had cool sharbat distributed to all the devotees.
Many devotees have writen us to ask how they can help the campaign. So below I reproduce an email that can be sent to the District Magistrate of Mathura with copy to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Distsrict Magistrate Mathura
My dear Mr. T.N. Singhji,
First of all we would like to thank you for kindly removing all the illegal shops in front of our Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir in Vrindavan. This was a horrible eysore and a nuisance in front of such a temple of international fame and we hearily commend you on this timely action. We also humbly petition you to see that they do not return.
Now please remove the pain and agony from the hearts of devotees from all over India and the world by restoring the tenancy of ISKCON in Srila Prabhupada's Bhajan Kutir in Radha Damodar Mandir in Vrindavan. Our hearts are breaking to know that Srila Prabhupada's seva-puja has been stopped for almost a month now.
You have seen all the receipts and other evidence that ISKCON is the legal tenant of these premises and before Srila Prabhupada from 1959. ISKCON is faithfully paying the rent on these rooms and the veranda and Nirmal Chand Goswami has unlawfully and forcibly tried to remove ISKCON from these rooms. We humbly submit that you hear our prayers and return the lawful tenancy of Srila Prabhupada's Bhajan Kutir to ISKCON.
Thank you for your kind attention in this very important matter.
In Service of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram,
Deena Bandhu dasa
