My heart goes to Sridhar Swami
by Nama Sankirtana das
Posted March 29, 2004

I just learned from a friend that His Holiness Sridhar Swami passed away. I had the good fortune associating with him when I was living in ISKCON New York. He would wake me up for mangala arotik; he would literally smack my back, of course with good intention...laughing. He really like my comic books. I'm so so sad to hear of his holiness passing away. He loved to be in New York Ratha-yatra. I will miss him so dearly.

The seminar expertly deals with third process which has been widely ignored for a long time in our movement. (Click here for the full article)

Accepting authority is not mere "blind obedience"

Some Memories and Glories of Srila Sridhar Swami Maharaja
by Jayapataka Swami
Posted March 28, 2004

When I met HH Srila Sridhar Swami to seek his blessings just prior to going on the South Indian Safari Maharaja was very emphatic! His time was not yet up! He had many things to still do or Srila Prabhupada. I mentioned to him that the Temple of Vedic Planetarium in Mayapur was one such work. Sridhar Swami confirmed. He said he wanted to encourage and help Amburish Prabhu in building the main Panca Tattva Mandir at Mayapur. Srila Sridhar Swami said many things at that time. How he felt better. His diet was difficult, but it seemed the medicines were working. Tridandi Prabhu, from Italy, had brought an Ayurvedic Doctor (who treated and had cured many hopeless cases in the past) to Mayapur. It was his cure that Srila Sridhar Swami was taking. In fact it was visible that Srila Sridhar Swami was improving. Even his dear brothers had gone on a pilgrimage seeing his improvement. Tribute to Sridhar Swami
by Subhadra-mayi dasi
Posted March 20, 2004

Sridhar Maharaja, you were a person who has meant a lot to me, from the moment I first met you. You were a real devotee, practical, down to earth, objective... So normal, which is a rare thing nowadays. I really cared about you so I never left a chance pass to ask you: 'anything I can do for you?' Sometimes there was something, other times there wasn't. But it always felt so nice to me that you knew you could count on me when you needed some help. Because of the kind of person you were I did it with so much pleasure. You never had this trip of 'I'm a senior devotee, so are so fortunate you can serve me...' You were just such a humble devotee, and always reciprocated. You will forever be someone I look up to as one of the few role models I have in my life. You will always be that. I really strive to become so unassuming, grateful, and gentle in my dealings with others, as you always exhibited. (Click here for the full article)

Just to inform my friends and well wishers that I am not the Kishore Krsna das who is affiliated with Srila Narayan Maharaj in Vrindavan. I have friends in New Vrindavan, Philadephila, Alachua, USA where I live currently, and India and I hope the article by another Kishore Krsna Das, a desciple of Srila Narayan Maharaj from India on VNN will not confuse you all in anyway about my idendity and loyalty to ISKCON. Even though I respect all vaishnavas from all different groups I am absolutly loyal to ISKCON and Srila Prabhupada. I have no desire to work for any other group at this point of my life or in the future. For any confusion about me please direct your inquiries directly to me at Kisore@aol.com.
